Commercial FAQ
Prices referenced here are the launch prices in PRICING.md.
Is Zorvia free for commercial use? Yes. It is Apache-2.0. You may use, modify and run it in production commercially at no charge, subject to the licence terms (LICENSE, NOTICE).
What do I pay for, then? Services around the software: production support, deployment, migration, training and managed operations. Support is a paid service contract, not a software licence.
Will Zorvia stop working if my contract lapses? No. Expiry only ends the paid service. It never stops VMs, disables VM APIs or existing community functionality, or blocks access to your data.
Is there a license key or feature gate? No. Contracts are records of what you bought. The product does not enforce them.
What is a billable node? A Kubernetes worker node covered by your contract. The order form lists covered clusters and nodes and states how mixed-role nodes, temporary nodes and capacity changes are treated.
How is annual support calculated? The greater of (worker nodes × per-node price) and the annual minimum.
Do I pay for Managed and Supported? No. Managed pricing includes the contracted support for the same coverage. Do not add a second support subscription for it.
Does Managed give you access to my cluster? No. Buying a contract grants no access. Remote operation, if you want it, is a separate opt-in with scoped, revocable credentials.
Do you offer 24×7 support or resolution deadlines? 24×7 response applies to Severity 1 and 2 on Supported Plus and, by default, Managed. Supported is business hours. Hours, timezone, holidays and response targets are written in your contract (SUPPORT_SCOPE.md). Targets are for first response. Resolution times are estimates, not commitments.
Are experimental features covered? Not unless your contract says so in writing. See FEATURE_MATURITY.md.
What is not included in the prices? Hardware, hosting, third-party subscriptions, travel and applicable taxes, plus anything "separately scoped" in SUPPORT_SCOPE.md.
Are international prices converted from India prices? No. They are independently set regional prices.
How does this compare with OpenShift Virtualization? See OPENSHIFT_COMPARISON.md. Comparisons are made on customer-specific quotes, not list-price claims.
How do I get a quote? Book a demo or write to sales@zyvor.dev with your cluster and worker-node counts.
